With the arrival of COVID-19, we understand that normal services in the fields of prevention and intervention can present more barriers and finding creative solutions may be challenging. We are passing along resources as they are shared with us:

Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support recently provided some safety planning tips for survivors of domestic violence who are quarantined with their abuser:

  • Be on heightened alert
  • Try to avoid your own escalation
  • Have an excuse to leave the house
  • Prepare your children

You Are Not Alone

COVID-19 has completely upended our day-to-day habits. No longer are we sitting in traffic every morning, running from appointment to appointment, planning annual summer vacations, or gathering in coffee shops for social meetings or business calls. Our hope is that we can all find ways to cultivate peace and solace as we adapt to our temporary ‘new normal.’ No matter how you are feeling during this time, know that you are not alone, but instead, we are alone together.
