General Information

Who is eligible to take classes?

Each course offered through the NTC is geared towards various audiences (I.e. advocates, community, law enforcement). Please refer to our upcoming events to get more information on which courses you are eligible to attend.

I have a great idea for a training. Who do I contact to set it up?

NTC strives to be responsive to the training needs of the violence against women movement and community at large. We welcome new ideas for trainings, please contact our director (LHensley@conferencecaw.org) to schedule a time for further discussion.

What learning formats, or delivery methods are available?

We will be providing in-person and hybrid sessions.

My organization is interested in offering a custom program for our employees. Is that possible?

Attending a Training

What if my preferred training or course is full?

If your course is full please email director@conferencecaw.org to inquire about being placed on a waitlist.

Registration & Cost

How do I register for a training?

You can find registration links for each training on the calendar. You will be directed to the corresponding registration link when you choose ‘Register’.

Can I register and pay tuition when I arrive at my class?

This will vary from training to training.

Are any discounts available?

There are no direct discounts per training but there is the possibility of scholarship opportunities at times depending on availability and the training.

Preparing for Training

Where will my training taking place?

In-person trainings will be located at the National Training Center on Crimes Against Women at Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, 2023 Lucas Dr. , Dallas, Texas 75219

Where do I park?

Street parking is available for training attendees along Lucas Dr. and behind our building along Production Dr.

What do I need to bring to training?

Come equipped to learn from our expert trainers! We suggest you bring a method to take notes, your confirmation email to confirm registration at check-in, and a sweater/jacket as the building climate is typically colder.

Free guest wifi is available.

Completing Your Training

Can I earn credit?

Accreditation criteria and availability will vary from training to training. This information can be found under the training details.

What will I receive when I complete the training?

Certificates of attendance will be available for most training events. Please contact us at director@conferencecaw.org if you have a specific question or concern about accreditation.

Cancellation & Withdrawals

What if I have to cancel my registration?

Please reach out to the contact on your confirmation email if you are unable to attend your training.

Why might a training be canceled and how will I be notified?

Emergencies and unforeseen events happen that could impact your training. If there is a change in the schedule you will be notified via email.
