Officer perpetrated domestic and sexual violence poses unique dangers, threatens agency mission and morale, generates high civil liability risk, and impacts public confidence in law enforcement.
This day-long course is an opportunity for law enforcement executives to examine the historical view and culture of domestic and sexual violence within the law enforcement family and will enable leaders to evaluate agency internal strengths, improve the effectiveness of investigations, offer nationally established standards for recruiting, training, corrective discipline, and the continued need for implementation of policy.
