DESCRIPTION:Advanced Safety Planning\nParticipants will learn how to help survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault create an individualized plan to help reduce the risks they and their children face. This presentation will move beyond the basic safety plan and identify unique circumstances that require additional safety precautions and the best practices to employ. \nUnderstanding Protective Orders in Texas\nThis training explains the different types of protective orders\, how they work\, and how they can be utilized to improve survivor safety and to prevent future violence. This workshop also discusses the changes and additions made to protective orders as mandated in the last legislative session. SUMMARY:EMDR Basic Training - Pt. 1
DESCRIPTION:This training will teach the theoretical framework of EMDR\, including the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model\, and the principles and concepts of EMDR therapy. The speaker will teach practical skills\, including how to effectively use bilateral stimulation and how to assess and manage client readiness and safety during EMDR sessions. As an attendee you will receive experiential training through supervised practice sessions to gain hands-on experience in using EMDR techniques\, both as a therapist and as a client. This training will cover how to use EMDR therapy with developmentally appropriate adaptations for children and adolescents\, while also including information for how to use with adults. \nSpeaker: Viviana Triana
